Next Big Thing Guitars' owner, Paul Silvay, combs the New Jersey landscape to find and bring to you a rare and unique collection of instruments. He founded the company in October of 2006 after years of experience selling instruments at various music retailers and participating in the local music scene. He began playing guitar at age 15. Paul’s band Brakestand soon became a regular part of the Central Jersey music scene. While he was playing on the local circuit, Paul began working at Guitar Center in 2000, where his love of vintage and unique instruments was actualized. He studied under and learned from the Burst Brothers Dave and Drew, Jim and Richie from Hoboken Vintage, Charlie from Groovy Guitar, and Rudy from Guitar Relics.

Paul looks for rare and unique instruments that are cool, playable, and collectible. He personally loves the guitars of his generation: early B.C. Rich, USA Jackson, and early Ibanez, but is also an expert on vintage classics like Fender, Gibson, Gretsch, Guild, all the classic Japanese guitars, and much more.
